OUR TECHNOLOGY

MICRO GEL-PARTICLE (MGP)
Micro Gel-Particle Technology overcomes many of the classic challenges faced with slurry use in any application. MGP settles with abrasive particles to act like small “pillows”, which creates a 'soft settle' slurry which prevents hard settling, and offers a more consistent slurry profile.

MSL™
MSL™ is a water based formulated coolant for machining operations such as milling, grinding, and immersion testing.
There are no petroleum or bitumen products used in the formulation. MSL™ offers superior cooling properties and a broad range of metal protection for iron and aluminum group metals and alloys, as well as others.
MARKETS WE SERVICE
PPT has developed proprietary chemistry and process technology that enables high performance, cost-effective abrasive slurry for the wire saw slicing and wafer lapping as applied to the solar, semiconductor, and optical industries.
The Company's primary focus is the development, manufacture, marketing and technical support for advanced technology and consumable products that are essential to slice silicon ingots into wafers used in photovoltaic cells and integrated circuits; and also for advanced optical / ceramic substrate production.

WHAT IS A 'SLURRY'?
Slurry is any mixture of a fluid and a pulverized solid which is used to ease handling of solids in bulk in mining, steel processing, foundries, power generation, and more. They behave the same way as thick, viscous fluids; they flow but also can be pumped as necessary. They are abrasive, thick in consistency and will generally settle quickly.
There are two types of slurries: non-settling and settling. Non-settling slurries contain very fine particles and will usually have low wearing properties.
Settling slurries are composed of coarse particles that tend to form a more unstable mixture with higher wear properties. It is important to make careful pump selection for this slurry application.
